Fluence Analytics to exhibit and present new developments in use of light scattering to determine aggregation rates at PepTalk 2018

PepTalk, one of the largest annual conferences for protein researchers in the world, will take place from January 8-12, 2018 at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront. Fluence Analytics is attending the 17th annual conference and will showcase ARGEN at exhibition booth number 315. The booth will feature an ARGEN system with software demos, and members of the Fluence Analytics team will be available to discuss applications, answer questions and present additional content for anyone seeking information on ARGEN.

Fluence Analytics will also present a poster on use of static light scattering signals to identify and minimize aggregation during formulation development. ARGEN is a static light scattering instrument that utilizes continuous, parallel stressor control with light scattering measurements to analyze the kinetic stability of protein samples under independently variable stressor conditions. The poster will detail how ARGEN is used to screen the effects of each formulation solution condition with respect to the reduction of a sample’s aggregation rate.

Additionally, Dr. Wayne Reed, the inventor of the underlying ARGEN technology and  the Murchison-Mallory Chair in Physics at Tulane University, will present a session titled Recent Progress in Light Scattering Determination of Aggregation Kinetics on Thursday, January 11 at 2 p.m. during the Protein Aggregation and Emerging Analytical Tools conference. Dr. Reed’s session will include discussions on the relationship between aggregation rates and GPC data, distinguishing small populations of large aggregates from large populations of small aggregates, and considerations of reproducibility and predictability of aggregation. Dr. Reed is also consulting CSO to Fluence Analytics.
