APMT Appoints Polymerization Engineering Expert To Technical Advisory Board

Dr. Hungenberg, Former BASF VP, Adds Decades of Industry Experience to the Advisory Board

(New Orleans, LA, U.S.) ‒ Advanced Polymer Monitoring Technologies (APMT) today announced the appointment of Dr. Klaus-Dieter Hungenberg to its Technical Advisory Board. Dr. Hungenberg is a former Vice President of Polymer Reactor Engineering at BASF who received an Honorary Professorship at the University of Paderborn in Germany and has authored approximately 100 scientific articles and patents.

“Dr. Hungenberg’s insight into the technical needs of polymer manufacturers will help us prioritize our internal R&D activities to better address industry needs. Klaus has deep expertise in polymer reaction engineering and optimization of polymer processes, which are important focus areas for us,” says Dr. Wayne Reed, APMT’s Chief Scientific Officer and Chairman of APMT’s Technical Advisory Board.

Dr. Hungenberg serves on the editorial board of several international scientific journals. He is also a member of scientific committees for numerous conferences and organizations including the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry’s Working Party on “Modeling of Kinetics and Processes of Polymerization” and the Working Party on “Polymer Reaction Engineering” of the European Federation of Chemical Engineering.

“APMT has progressed rapidly as a company, and their ACOMP product has significant potential to impact R&D and manufacturing in the polymer industry. I look forward to advising them on technical strategies as the company develops its next generation of applications, products and technologies,” says Dr. Klaus-Dieter Hungenberg.
